Robert Half HR Generalist in Ceres, California
Description If you love Human Resources and you're looking for an exciting, new Generalist opportunity, Robert Half has the opportunity for you as a Human Resources Generalist. In this role, you will perform various HR duties, including managing employee relations, recruiting, conducting new hire orientation, and updating the employee handbook.
What you get to do every single day
Maintain physical and digital files for employees and their documents, including benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews
Accountable for completing various tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department
Collaborate with upper management, employees, and third-party vendors
Design templates for HR documents, including the Employee Handbook
Create onboarding plans and educate newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations
Work with other members of the HR department to oversee the hiring and onboarding process for new company employees
Develop official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary adjustments, updates to the employee handbook, leave of absences, and warning/termination letters
Manage employee relations, which may include finding new ways to engage employees or coordinating sensitive conversations
Create & /or support a recruitment plan according to business and operational projections
Create employee engagement plans, including budget approvals and management oversite
Compare local, state, and federal laws to current internal policies and procedures
Evaluate employee performance, including assisting with annual reviews, appraising pay scales, and coordinating disciplinary action (including terminations if necessary) Requirements
Prior experience coordinating and implementing Open Enrollment is a plus
- You will do well in this position if you are highly professional, and able to use good judgment and maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity
Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
Excellent written and verbal business skills
Proven understanding local, state and federal laws
Able to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
Prior HR experience in a Generalist capacity
Prior full cycle recruiting experience
Proficient with office computer applications and software, as well as social media platforms
B.A. or B.S. degree preferred, preferably with a Human Resources or Psychology emphasis
