The HR Generalist provides general support to the Director in a wide range of human resource services in the day to day operation of the department. The Generalist will; assist with human resource programs including recruiting, onboarding, corrective actions, benefits, compensation, training, LOA administration, worker’s compensation, employee orientation, record keeping, file maintenance, the day-to-day operations of the HR department, and other duties as assigned. The Generalist will be expected to provide recommendations to HRD to support administrative decisions, using skills and applying knowledge to manage HR-related projects as needed, while ensuring HR activities are in compliance with state and federal laws, licensing and accreditation bodies, and facility contracts.

Qualifications

Education/Training:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience.

    Licensure/Certification:

  • Current Tennessee Driver’s License

  • PHR or SPHR preferred

    Experience:

  • Two years personnel generalist experience in a hospital/healthcare setting is strongly preferred.

  • Understanding of the Joint Commission standards and functions strongly preferred.
