Job Description ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage and direct local teams responsible for both regional and Corporate responsibilities, including general ledger, payroll, consolidation and stock administration Provide leadership over the month-end and quarterly close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting Responsible for key accounting activities, including but not limited to: cash, fixed assets, other assets, accounts payable, other liabilities, payroll, and stock administration Ensure the joint venture\'s financial results are properly integrated into the Company\'s financial statements, in accordance with U.S. GAAP Support the America\'s accounting team through the quarterly reviews and annual external audit to successful completion Establish and maintain the organization\'s accounting principles, practices, procedures, policies and initiatives on new accounting guidelines for effective adoption Ensure that effective internal controls are in place within the Americas region and compliant with U.S. GAAP Partner with other accounting and finance leaders to drive operational improvements, including optimization of the monthly and quarterly close cycle as well as the accounts payable process Lead the team through improvement projects for key financial/ERP systems and other business processes Drive organization improvements to develop the best team possible and work with staff to ensure that adequate development plans are in place so that we create and grow a bench of high performing finance and accounting talent Lead and/or support other accounting initiatives, including special projects REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:. Preferred or Desired: Public accounting and industry experience Required: BA or advanced degree in Accounting, active CPA certification Technically competent and highly skilled in U.S. GAAP 15+ years\' experience in a medium to large scale organization, preferably working in the medical device or capital equipment industry Demonstrated expertise in a variety of...
