Location/Division Specific Information

Our Materials and Structural Analysis business helps customers drive creative research and discoveries by delivering innovative microscopy, spectroscopy and microanalysis solutions, such as world-class scanning and transmission electron microscopes, DualBeam™ FIB-SEMs, and spectrometers, combined with advanced software suites. We span across the business areas of life sciences, material sciences, semiconductor, spectroscopy, and visualization software.

How you will make an impact:

As a Field Service Supervisor, you will lead teams of indirect service channel partners in order that they deliver, install, maintain and repair a specified range of hi-tech systems. In your work, you will have an impact on customer satisfaction, process optimization and business results. You will work closely with different Thermo Fisher Scientific departments and external partners to drive the growth of the business. What you will do:

  • Develop and coordinate effective support of customers in the region.

  • Manage a successful, motivated team of service providers in assigned area of responsibility.

  • Drive operational and business performance indicators.

  • Establish effective management of critical situation.

  • Achieve high level of Customer Allegiance.

  • Support regional P&L initiatives, in line with plan/budgetary requirements.

  • Partner with commercial teams to deliver customer deals that can be implemented profitably and meet/exceed customer expectations.

  • Drive high quality and continuous improvement using our Practical Process Improvement Business System.

How you will get here:

Education

  • Bachelor or advanced degree in business, marketing or material or life sciences.

Experience

  • Requires 5+ years of hands-on experience in service environment.

  • Thorough understanding and experience in working with external service providers.

  • Process owner or leader of the team.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Oriented on customer.

  • Able to communicate well in English with customers, partners and colleagues at all levels.

  • Leadership skills, team orientation and professional attitude.

  • Ability to energize yourself and others to accomplish goals.

  • Ability to integrate and work across matrix organizations.

  • Comprehensive computer skills: including database development and searching, presentation and spreadsheets.

  • Honest, independent, self-disciplined, innovative, responsible, concise and well organized.
