Position Title: TECHNICAL SUPPORT SUPERVISOR - K12 FOOD SERVICE NEW BUSINESS - ST. LOUIS PUBLIC SCHOOLS

Job Summary

The Point of Sale (POS) Tech Support Supervisor leads a team of technicians in providing exceptional support and maintenance for POS systems and related hardware, such as printers. This role involves overseeing the troubleshooting, repair, and installation of POS equipment to ensure seamless operation and minimal downtime for clients. The supervisor ensures that service requests are handled efficiently, coordinates with other departments for escalated issues, and implements best practices to enhance service delivery. With a focus on customer satisfaction, the POS Tech Support Supervisor also mentors and trains staff, manages performance, and maintains detailed records of all service activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Subject matter expert on event utilization of supported technologies, including MS Teams, Point of Sales systems, HD video recording, live video and audio streaming, video teleconferencing (VTC), and telepresence.

  • Provide customer service and support including technical troubleshooting and operational assistance, including event support.

  • Monitor team communications and deliverables

  • Track equipment, including maintaining asset tracking program. Complete weekly equipment checks and completing periodic audits of inventory lists.

  • Maintain current industry and campus knowledge and contribute to business improvements, ensuring all support services are effective and competitive.

  • Assist with the onboarding of new services, including training staff, creating process documentation, and identifying equipment for purchase.

  • Identify root issues in the delivery of support services and assist with development and implementation of corresponding solutions.

  • Maintain key relationships with stakeholders, including Microsoft product groups, event teams, Microsoft Production Studios, Microsoft Learning, third-party vendors, etc.

Experience & Qualifications Required:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in supporting technical hardware support

  • Must have working understanding of modern web conferencing and live video technologies

  • Must be knowledgeable in audio and presentation systems, including control systems

  • Must be able to troubleshoot audiovisual systems and equipment, including remotely

  • Background customer service or hospitality experience required

  • Certification in AV technology or related courses (preferred).

  • Intermmediate Knowledge of Audio - microphones, speakers, sound systems, channel mixers, etc.

  • Intermmediate Knowledge of Video - LCD, LED, projectors, screens, monitors, Camera etc.

  • Lighting - GOBO, gels, uplighting, basic lighting kits, stage lighting, etc.

  • Computers - Advanced knowledge of PC and Mac software for streaming & web casting
