Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate HR Generalist to join our team and play a key role in fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture. As an HR Generalist for our nonprofit organization, you will be responsible for a variety of human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, and benefits administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR principles, excellent communication skills, and a passion for supporting the mission of the organization.

Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, and conducting interviews.

  • Coordinate new hire onboarding, ensuring a smooth transition for new employees.

Employee Relations:

  • Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

  • Conduct investigations and address employee relations issues in collaboration with management.

Benefits Administration:

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other fringe benefits.

  • Communicate benefits information to employees and assist with open enrollment processes.

HR Documentation and Compliance:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and legal regulations.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

Training and Development:

  • Coordinate training and professional development programs for employees.

  • Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and implement initiatives.

Performance Management:

  • Support the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and development plans.

  • Provide guidance to managers on performance-related matters.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist, preferably in the nonprofit sector.

  • Knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
