Job Responsibilities

  • Proven experience working in refrigeration and familiarity of air conditioning systems to perform planned and reactive services, install, repair and maintenance in the retail sector.

  • Establish your own work schedule, receive tickets on PDA, close tickets with detailed commentary.

  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues that may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.

  • Manage, rectify and record defects through the helpdesk to ensure SLA Timeframes are always met.

  • Review RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) and sub-contractor competencies before work permits are authorised.AP experience would be advantageous.

  • Support operational analysis of all engineering related performance metrics (KPIs).

  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements. Including regular hazard/ incident reporting.

  • Escalate any issue that would affect the availability, health and safety and security of the site.

  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation.

  • To respond to callouts and cover emergencies as required.Willingness to work flexible hours.

Person Skills

  • A combination of experience and qualifications and certification; F Gas registered, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning City & Guilds 6187 (or equivalent).Recognised mechanical HVAC qualifications - Level 2 & 3.

  • Full clean UK Driving License held for minimum of 3 years.

  • Desirable PASMA/IPAF certified.

  • Good verbal communication skills at all levels with good written English.

  • Able to acquire and maintain sufficient knowledge of a building’s operation and services.

  • Physically fit and able to carry tools and components by hand up to 20kg.

  • To co-operate readily, politely and amicably with client onsite and Company personnel.
