The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for implementing Human Resources Strategy and providing functional support for the Williston, South Carolina facility, one of the largest manufacturing sites within Crane Co. This role will be located at the Williston Facility which is also the Headquarters for the Merchandising Systems business. This role will be responsible for supporting the Human Resources function for the Williston Headquarters Office and Operations site and remote associates within the Americas. This position must demonstrate a high-level of integrity, a strong depth of knowledge, and a pro-active approach to employee relations and engagement.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field. Advanced degree in Business Administration or Human Resources related field preferred.
3+ years’ HR experience in a manufacturing in an environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Applicant Tracking & Human Resources information Systems.

Guide leaders and employees regarding Company policies, values, HR programs (benefits, pay and salary) administration and interpretation to ensure policies and procedures are handled consistently and in a timely manner.

Actively participate in programs such as Safety Committees, 5S programs, TOPs.
Use and assure that all employees are using the required Personal Protective Equipment, as applicable.
Question current procedures to assure we are striving for perfection.
Implement human resources programs and provide generalist HR support across the business with key accountability for the specific assigned workforce segments. Serve as first line of contact for employees regarding questions or concerns and works closely with third party administrators to troubleshoot employee issues.
Advocate for associates by resolving conflict and seeking win-win solutions, promoting positive and effective associate relations and influencing a focus on human issues in the organization.
Takes accountability in assigned employee groups to support full Cycle Intellectual Capitol Process including recruitment, Associate Development, Succession planning, Performance Management, Compensation Planning and Recognition.
Identify and recruit qualified candidates through both internal succession planning and external talent acquisition via a cultivated talent pipeline, approved recruiters, and other recruiting sources.
Execute staffing strategies for exempt/non-exempt hiring needs.
Coordinates activities required during recruiting and interviewing process. Attends job fairs when appropriate.
Involved in the interviewing process and assists in the selection of qualified candidates to fill vacant positions.
Maintains Applicant Tracking and assists in preparation of AAP and other regulatory reporting.
Updates and maintains Human Resource Policies, Standard Operating Procedures, and Employee Handbook. Ensures that revisions are distributed to appropriate staff members/employees in a timely manner.
Acts as a system administrator supporting the Business Unit for HR Software and Systems including Taleo, PeopleSoft and the Convergence online Learning Management System
Assists in the preparation of reports that reflect headcount, new hires, terminations, turnover rates and any other reports as required.
Support continuous improvement and change initiatives to enable the strategy execution, growth and success within the business.
Maintains files, forms and database information associated with personnel, general information, recruiting and regulatory compliance.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
