Crane Merchandising Systems is seeking a Senior ERP Functional Analyst to help deploy and support Crane’s QAD 2016 EE ERP solution. In this role, the ERP Functional Analyst will provide daily support of QAD and additional defined systems for both US and European users. The position will work with an international team of functional-technical analysts to deliver both projects and work enhancements and receive extensive technical and business systems training. The position will partner with business functions to initiate and drive continuous improvement and with IT management to define and implement tactical and strategic IT plans.
Assume role of functionall lead for deploying QAD and related systems to US and EU locations in areas of order to cash, financials, supply chain, procure to pay, and other key business processes
Provide day to day support of the QAD system landscape
Work with functional analysts, database administrators, system administrators, and QA and delivery leads in project delivery and solving technical issues
Ensure that deliverables meet or exceed functional, technical, and performance requirements
Follow and enhance established design, development, source code management, and deployment processes
Partner with business teams in Kaizen and other Crane Business System continuous improvement activities
Articulate and promote ERP system best practices to project managers, global sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood
7 + years enterprise IT/ERP experience
3 + years of QAD or comparable ERP systems functional lead
Must be self-driven and assertive in moving projects forward
Strong communication, presentation and writing skills
Experience delivering ERP services to a global company
Experience / Expertise / Knowledge of QAD eB 2.1 version and above (Progress 4GL, Ecommerce, Qxtend, Unix skills (Scripting, Batch Jobs, CRON management etc)), ideally 2016 EE
Development in .NETUI and Open edge would be an added advantage
Functional expertise in SCM, SSM, TMS, Sales, EE Finance or other equivalent system functionalities
Worked in Global Multi National organization – understanding requirements from global perspective
Thorough understanding of SDLC processes and working experience in requirement analysis, functional specification preparation, development, testing and user training
- Bachelor’s degree in business or computer related discipline, engineering or equivalent.
Technical proficiency in Progress 4GL, SQL, Java, XML, and Linux is a plus
EDI, tax and credit card software integrations
ITIL v3 certification
Must be flexible to work overtime and weekends as needed
Requires lifting 35 lbs.
